This is a new fixed-term post created to support the Departmental Administrator with the additional administrative workload associated with the Tinbergen building closure in 2017.
The post combines strategic and operational duties and while the focus is on managing and developing the HR function the postholder will be expected to gain an understanding of departmental administration more generally in order to deputise effectively for the Administrator. This will be a key post in the effective operation of the Department in a period of significant change.
The successful candidate will have management experience, will have delivered operational HR services in a complex organisation and will be looking to gain experience of the range of administration activity in a busy university research department. A flexible approach, strong IT skills and education to degree level or equivalent are essential.
