About the Group

The Wigby lab studies the evolutionary biology of sex and death, mainly using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model organism. We are interested in sexual selection, sexual conflict, speciation, sperm competition, kin selection, immunity, life history and ageing.
