Research Interests

I am a final year BBSRC funded DPhil student (finishing October 2021). I am studying electrosensing in the weakly electric fish, Gnathonemus petersii. By using this species as a model, I hope to understand how sensory and motor systems interact to allow an animal to behave adaptively. Currently, I am looking at how swimming movements may modulate the information these fish receive from their active electric sense.
