My research is mostly focused on conservation technology and animal behaviour. As part of my PhD, I helped develop acoustic monitoring devices for tracking animal vocalizations. I also used custom-designed biologgers and machine learning algorithms to uncover aspects of lion behaviour in southern Zimbabwe. More recently, I have worked on the development of a lion population model to provide insights for lion population management and conservation. Currently, I am working with WildCRU on a conservation technology project that explores the potential applications of AI for monitoring and protecting wildlife.
