Research Interests

My postdoctoral research is on understanding the evolutionary processes that drive the spread and maintenance of antibiotic resistance in populations of pathogenic bacteria. I am investigating Pseudomonas aeruginosa that has been collected from ICU patients in hospitals across Europe, as part of the Combatting Bacterial Resistance in Europe- Molecules against Gram-Negative Infections (COMBACTE-MAGNET) consortium. My DPhil was completed in 2019 in the Department of Plants (University of Oxford), where I used functional genomics approaches to investigate biological nitrogen fixation.
