I have an interested in:

  • Applied bioinformatics in microbiology and public health
  • Bacterial epidemiology and molecular typing

I am the developer of the PubMLST.org website for bacterial molecular typing and of the Bacterial Isolate Genome Sequence Database (BIGSdb) platform that can be used to store and analyse whole genome data for bacterial population analysis.
