Research Interests

My research focuses on mapping and understanding the relationship between seabed structure and biodiversity in ocean environments beyond SCUBA depth.

Because of the challenges of conducting research, our knowledge on the drivers of biodiversity occurrence and distribution in these environments is limited. My research aims to contribute to filling these knowledge gaps through an understanding how seabed topography influences benthic ecology over multiple spatial scales. For this work I am collaborating with the Nekton Foundation on datasets collected in the Indian Ocean.
