Maria Cerezo: visiting PhD Student
My research is focus on human mitochondrial DNA variability and its application to population genetics, forensic, clinical studies. I analyze different parts of the mitochondrial genome, SNPs in coding region (with SNaPShot or Sequenom) or sequencing control region or complete genome. Most of my work is for population genetic studies with African samples but I’ve also worked with European and American samples and for forensic and clinical studies.
