I graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2007, with a B.Sc. majoring in zoology and conservation biology. I have worked on a variety of research projects in Western Australia. The most recent of these included monitoring a population of Southern brown bandicoots Isoodon obesulus and a taxonomy project on Indonesian frogs in conjunction with the Western Australian Museum. After moving to the UK in 2008, I worked as a science communicator for the London Natural History Museum and London Zoo. I joined the EGI in 2009 as a field assistant, and am currently employed as a research assistant investigating the social ecology of tits.
I am currently working with Prof. Ben Sheldon on a large scale project investigating dispersal and the social behavior of wild birds in woodland surrounding Oxford. The project examines the causes and consequences of variation in social behavior, focusing on the social associations of individuals and the resultant network structure.
