Autobiography

I obtained my BSc in Biological Sciences from Oxford University in 2009 and continued my studies here in the Zoology Department as a M.Sc. student in Biology (Integrative Bioscience), graduating in 2010. During my masters I had the opportunity to investigate pheromone signalling in the European wall lizard under the supervision of Tobias Uller and Robert Heathcote and the factors influencing rates of birdsong divergence supervised by Nat Seddon and Joe Tobias. I followed this with an internship at the Institute of Zoology, Zoological Society of London working on the Living Planet Index. In July 2011, I returned to Oxford to work as a research assistant in the EGI.

Research Activities

I am working with Nat Seddon and Joe Tobias on projects exploring acoustic signal evolution in birds and on a NERC-funded project investigating the processes of avian community assembly and disassembly in tropical ecosystems.
