Autobiography

I studied biology at the National University of Piura in NW Peru, graduating in 2006. As a field researcher for Nature and Culture International (NCI), I then surveyed birds of the Tumbesian Endemic Bird Area, one of the world's most threatened regions. After this, I worked for the Peruvian Marine Research Institute collecting data on the diet of Guanay cormorants and Peruvian boobies to assess the distribution and abundance of Peruvian anchovy stocks. Since October 2007 I have been working with Nat Seddon and Joe Tobias, collecting behavioural and ecological data on a colour-ringed population of warbling antbirds at Los Amigos Research Station in SE Peru.
