Autobiography

I graduated from St John's College, Oxford in 2008 with a MEng in Engineering Science. For my masters project I worked in the Animal Behavior Group studying the effects of varying environmental conditions on the mechanical properties of silkworm silks. I am continuing to apply my technical background to the life sciences in my work as a research assistant for Nathalie Seddon and Joe Tobias.

Research Activities

My research aim is to quantify the acoustic structure of the main vocalizations of the ovenbirds and to generate a dataset with which to test some key hypotheses concerning signal evolution and speciation.
